I never knew when I started in Bridal Hair and Makeup just how much I would fall in love with it. My career began at The London School of Beauty & Makeup in England, where I trained in Fashion, Photographic, and Media Makeup before returning stateside to complete my Cosmetology license. A few years later, life took me to sunny Florida, where I had the incredible opportunity to work inside celebrity stylist Ted Gibson’s salon. Working alongside Ted and the L’Oréal Professionnel educators taught me that great artistry is equal parts education, intention, and confidence.
I launched my Bridal career more than a decade ago in the Sunshine State before planting new roots here in Charleston—where Wild Ivory was born in 2016. Over the years I’ve refined our signature style: radiant, luminous, long-wearing, and still you.
When I first moved to Charleston, several Brides told me they felt they were wearing "too much" makeup at their Previews — and it changed everything! Coming from Miami Bridal (think a little more glam), I learned quickly that less really can be more. And it fit me perfectly: I’ve always been a woman drawn to simplicity, ease, and natural beauty.
The experience shaped my personal philosophy—bridal beauty should feel like freedom, not transformation.
I understand the desire to look polished and confident while still looking unmistakably you.
On my very first Wedding, I also learned how important it is for a Bride to have a calm, joy-filled morning. I know how to anchor into stillness in a room full of energy and chatter. I can keep quiet if you need a peaceful moment—or talk your ear off if that keeps you grounded (Gemini energy in full effect).
Together we’ll create a look that feels true to you—never about how I want you to look, always about how you want to feel.
My favorite moment? As pictured above - when a Bride sees her reflection and softly laughs, “I still look like me," (and gives me a hug later).
Since launching Wild Ivory, my work has taken me from Charleston’s coast to places like New Orleans, Harbour Island and Cancun, with features in BRIDES, Over the Moon, Martha Stewart Weddings, Carats & Cake, Wedding Sparrow, Magnolia Rouge, and more.

Christie - Bridal Makeup Artist
Christie moved here from Nashville in 2010, with a plan to go into medical esthetics, but quickly realized she wanted to go the more creative path. She’s skin-obsessed, and pretty knowledgeable about it, thanks to her pre-nursing days and esthetics license. She specializes in super natural, “barely there” to soft glam looks, with an emphasis on beautiful skin. For her, it’s all about enhancing a person’s natural beauty by focusing in on their standout features and complimenting their true coloring.
Elana - Bridal Makeup Artist
Elana graduated from the prestigious Make-Up Designory School in New York City where she learned everything from natural makeup to special effects makeup. She took her talents to Atlanta where she continued her training at the Elaine Sterling Institute while working for Authentic Beauty as a makeup artist.
Her make up can be seen in several independent films such as "The Ripping" and "Crafty Chicks"; TV shows such as "Tour Guide: Charleston" (Tennis Channel) and "Southern Charm" (BRAVO), "Hero Effect" (OWN network). She has also been featured in Atlanta Girl magazine, La Rouge Magazine, SKIRT magazine and other regional publications. She has been involved with many fashion shows including Charleston Fashion week and Style Exhibition.
She performs makeup services from bridal, high fashion, fantasy, special FX and more. Elana is willing to travel where her work takes her.
Stephanie - Bridal Hair Stylist
A South Carolina native, Stephanie began her journey in the beauty industry after graduating from Paul Mitchell the School Charleston in 2013. With a passion for creating effortless, natural beauty, she’s been part of the talented team at Wild Ivory since 2017, specializing in bridal hair.
When shes not styling brides and helping clients feel their best, she enjoys life in Charleston with her husband and their daughter.
Karilyn - Bridal Hair Stylist
Hi, I’m Karilyn! I’ve been a cosmetologist for over 20 years, and special event styling and updos have always been a favorite of mine-there’s nothing like helping a wedding party feel confident and beautiful for such a special occasion. I spent many years working in high-end salons and spas before opening my own cozy salon suite here in Charleston, where I offer personalized hair services and relaxing head spa treatments—perfect for a little pre-wedding pampering! When I’m not behind the chair, you can find me spending time with my husband and two daughters. We love the beach, hiking, traveling, and generally all the outdoor things! My goal while working with you is to make sure everyone feels comfortable, has a great time and leaves feeling their very best.
Crystal - Bridal Hair Stylist
Even as a young girl, it was always my passion to become a hairstylist and everyone knew it was my destiny. I began an exciting career in downtown Chicago, but the Charleston coast was calling me and my growing family!
With over 12 years of experience behind the chair, currently a colorist and stylist in a private club salon on Kiawah Island, and traveling on location as a bridal hairstylist my dream has become a reality.
Working with the Wild Ivory Beauty team for more than 6 years has truly been a pleasure and a highlight of my journey. My true focus is bringing your natural beauty to the surface with a hairstyle that is perfect for you.

Kearsen is a talented hairstylist who listens to what her clients want and creates individual, beautiful looks that complement their natural style. She believes every bride should feel radiant and authentically herself on her wedding day. She is passionate about creating stunning looks that celebrate each bride's unique style, heritage, and hair texture. Kearsen specializes in a wide range of multicultural bridal hair, from intricate up-styles and romantic bohemian waves to flawlessly styled natural curls and elegant braids.
With years of experience and a deep understanding of diverse hair types and textures, Kearsen is committed to providing a relaxing and enjoyable experience from consultation to the last touch-up. You’ll immediately feel like you’ve got a best friend helping you look your best. The goal is for the bride to walk down the aisle feeling confident, comfortable, and absolutely breathtaking.
Chandler - Bridal Hair Stylist & Makeup Artist
Hi, I’m Chandler!
I’m a licensed cosmetologist and wedding hair and makeup artist based in Charleston, SC and the surrounding areas. I began my career in 2014 after graduating from Paul Mitchell, doing weddings while still in school. I built a behind-the-chair clientele in Mount Pleasant but discovered my true passion in bridal beauty and family life. These days, I devote my time to perfecting my craft in hair and makeup artistry while raising my three littles. It’s an honor to play such a meaningful role in someone’s big day, and many of our brides truly become like family. When I’m not working weddings, you’ll find me baking, needlepointing, or out on the water with my crew.
